Assoc Prof Prashant Sonar

Research summary

Assoc. Prof. Prashant Sonar’s research expertise is in design, synthesis and characterization of novel π-functional organic semiconducting materials including small molecules, oligomers, polymers, as well as quantum dots and hybrid materials for organic electronic, bioelectronic and supramoleculecular electronic applications. These applications vary from thin film transistors, solar cells, light emitting diodes, memory devices, logic circuits chemical sensors and other relevant electronics devices. Newly developed exotic materials and their performance in such devices provide an opportunity to study structure-property correlation which is helpful from lab to fab printed and flexible prototypes.
