Research in the Low group is largely focussed on: (1) the properties of redox-active organic and organometallic compounds, with particular interest in electronic structure and intramolecular electron transfer processes; (2) single molecule and thin-film electronics. The group offers skills and expertise in synthetic chemistry, electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry and electronic structure calculations, and works in collaboration with research teams across the Asia-Pacific and European regions to access advanced methods in surface science, single molecule conductance and electronic behaviour, and computational modelling of single molecule devices.
