Research summary
Dr Martin Peeks’ research involves synthesising unusual pi-conjugated molecules and carefully characterising them by (spectro)electrochemical, optical, and computational techniques. He is particularly interested in understanding how to tune charge delocalization and electron transfer in organic and inorganic materials through careful molecular design. He also has a special interest in the emergent properties of pi-systems, such as aromaticity and antiaromaticity.
